7月27日上午10时(朝鲜时间)，《朝鲜停战协定》正式签字，并于下午10时起生效。历时3年多的朝鲜战争终于结束了。[163]
朝鲜战争是在冷战的国际大背景下，由一场国内战争演变而成的两个阵营之间的一次军事较量。战争的结果，一方面使南北朝鲜分治局面固定下来，一方面也使中美之间的敌对状态在相当时期之内固定下来。
