Suddenly I caught sight to the young man who was running fast with a person in his behind .'Stop thief!Stop thief!'cried a woman running after him. At once,I knew what it happened and a idea flashed through my mind. In no time ,I throw the bottle at the young man. The bottle fell to the ground and broke, the thief could not avoid it and slept on the oil and broken bottle. Together with some nearby people, I rushed up and put my hands on the young man. A policeman came and caught him. The woman got back her purse. Many good words were sad to me. I felt quite happy.I walk home with great pleasure,no sooner had I open the door, then I had the voice 'Be quick ,bring me the oil,I`m cooking!' Oil ? my god ! I have forgot about it completely .
056.Returning Library Books
Meimei likes reading books. She often goes and borrows books from the school library. Though she likes reading, she doesn’t take care of her books. She throws them everywhere, on the table, on the ground, even under her bed. Her roommates often remind her of this. But she turns defiant of them. Not until yesterday did her bad habit bring her a great trouble. It was the deadline for two books. She looked everywhere but failed to find them. When her roommates came back and learned that, they began to help her look for the books in the room.
Twenty minutes past without any result. Meimei cried helplessly. It was four thirty and Meimei had to go to the library, for it closed at five. As soon as she told the story to the librarian and asked for an extra day with tears, the librarian looked at her with surprise and said,“what a careless girl! You returned them yesterday. Don’t you remember? ”

Before the entrance examinations to senior high school, our teacher arranged a visit for us to the No.4 High school in Beijing. The school made a deep impression on me.No.4 High School is located in the center of Beijing and has a history of 90 years. It is one of the most well-known schools in the city with over 2000 students and about 180 teachers. First the school president showed us around.. The school looks like a beautiful garden with flowers, green trees, fountains, new buildings everywhere. It is only senior students divided into three grades and 38 classes. And appearantly there are more boys than girls. Then we went to the meeting hall. The person who was in charge of teaching introduced the school and courses. The teachers here are excellent and have a master’s degree or a doctor’s degree. The love their students on their work. Fourteen subjects are taught in the school including mathematics, Chinese, physics, chemistry, English and so on.. The students are excellent too. They take special interest in their studies and work hard. The three hours’visit passed quickly. No sooner had the bell rang. Then a middle age man accompanied by our teacher walked into the classroom. All of us looked at one of them.Questions were written on every face. The man steped onto the stage and said, "I lost my bag on my way to my office 2 days ago. As i was wondering where I could find it, I recieved a phone call. It was a girl who had picked up my lost bag near a bus stop. And she had found my phone number in the bag. Then I realized that I must had lost my bag when I was hurrying to catch the bus. The girl didn't leave until I returned to the bus stop and got back my bag. But she then left in such a hurry that I had no time to ask her name. I had spent 2 days visiting the school's nearby. I would like to thank her.
As he was speaking, Our teacher walked to Guanlan Shu and asked her, " why didn't you tell me the reason when you came to school late the day before yesterday. At that time, Guanlan had to look up. Before she said anything, the man cried out, "It is her! She is the very person who returned the bag to me!" All the eyes were fixed on Guanlan with the appreciation.
060.Weekend Activities
My father is a driver and my mother is a teacher. Both of them work hard during the week. No matter how busy they are ,they always manage to take us to our uncle’s home at the weekend and work on the farm .The farm is not very big but there is always so much to do on the farm. I like to look after animals ,taking them to the fields, giving them food and playing with them. My parents help my uncle in the fields while my aunt prepare dinner for us, sometimes I help them too. It’s on the farm that get to know the meaning of the saying: a grain a sweat. After several hours’ hard work on the farm, we were hungry and tired. We usually have a big meal and then go back home in the evening.

One will choose the gifts for Doctor Dizol and everyone. The last group made up of girls will prepare food for our Chrismas dinner. It's all to be a wonderful time. We are looking forward to it.
062.A Picnic in the Countryside
Last week, we went to the countryside to have a picnic. We bought some sandwiches, fruit and water to take with us for lunch. We started out quite early before there was too much traffic. After 2 hours of driving, we came to a nice place,it was the ford of a hill and near a river with some large trees beside it. As it was a very hot day, we parked the car under a big tree, and went for a swim in the river, the water was refreshing. After having a swim,we had lunch in the cool shade under the trees. Then we went for a walk,we saw some beautiful birds and butterflies. After walking for about an hour,we returned to the car, however, we couldn’t get the car to start. Finally we had to push the car to the road and wait for help. Of cource, the car breaking down spoiled our picnic in the end.
063.A Geography Group
Last term I took part in a geography research study group. Our topic was environment pollution and protection. We took a variety of pictures, showing the present pollution conditions of our city. To our surprise, there are still a lot of people doing silly things to our surroundings. Some people throw rubbish anywhere they like. Some cars give off harmful gases. What surprises us most is that waste water is poured into the rivers by some factories. Worse still, people sometimes have to make their way through dusty winds as a result of the pollution. Through our research we come to realize that everybody must pay much attention to the environment. Some measures should be taken to protect it. And to be exact, it is high time to take measures to protect it.
064. Looking at Peter's room
It was said that peter's room was always in a mess. In fact, it was the messest among the boys' rooms. However,it looked neat and in order when ever we got there, so we decided to use an unexpected way to find the truth. One day, we went to peter's room with a ladder. Before we knocked on the door, one of us stepped onto the ladder and had a look from the upper window, "what a mess". Peter's things were lying all over the room,on the chair,on the table, under the bed even on the floor. Peter was sitting on the ground, repairing his tape recorder while his friend was jumping up and down on his bed. As we knocked the door, peter cleared up the mess just by putting all the things under his bed. Peter was too ashamed to say a word after we entered his room and brought his trick to light. He promised to keep his room in order as much as possible after that.
