但这类词汇在整个词汇中占的比重不大。另外有些美国习语英国人是不熟悉甚至不懂的。但这不足为奇。美国南部的话和北部的话也不尽相同，甚至在伦敦一个城市之中不同阶层人说的话，也有不少的差别。因此，既要知道有各种特色的英语，也不必在上面花过多的心思。我们主要是学“大路？”，即大家都通用的语言。
