Chapter 10
10:1 [hgb] 撒 母 耳 拿 瓶 膏 油 倒 在 扫 罗 的 头 上 ， 与 他 亲 嘴 ， 说 ， 这 不 是 耶 和 华 膏 你 作 他 产 业 的 君 吗 ？ [kjv] Then Samuel took a vial of oil, and poured it upon his head, and kissed him, and said, Is it not because the LORD hath anointed thee to be captain over his inheritance? [bbe] Then Samuel took the bottle of oil, and put the oil on his head and gave him a kiss and said, Is not the Lord with the holy oil making you ruler over Israel, his people? and you will have authority over the people of the Lord, and you will make them safe from the hands of their attackers round about them, and this will be the sign for you: 10:2 [hgb] 你 今 日 与 我 离 别 之 后 ， 在 便 雅 悯 境 内 的 泄 撒 ， 靠 近 拉 结 的 坟 墓 ， 要 遇 见 两 个 人 。 他 们 必 对 你 说 ， 你 去 找 的 那 几 头 驴 已 经 找 着 了 。 现 在 你 父 亲 不 为 驴 挂 心 ， 反 为 你 担 忧 ， 说 ， 我 为 儿 子 怎 么 才 好 呢 ？ [kjv] When thou art departed from me to day, then thou shalt find two men by Rachel's sepulchre in the border of Benjamin at Zelzah; and they will say unto thee, The asses which thou wentest to seek are found: and, lo, thy father hath left the care of the asses, and sorroweth for you, saying, What shall I do for my son? [bbe] When you have gone away from me today, you will see two men by the resting-place of Rachel's body, in the land of Benjamin at Zelzah; and they will say to you, The asses which you went in search of have come back, and now your father, caring no longer for the asses, is troubled about you, saying, What am I to do about my son? 10:3 [hgb] 你 从 那 里 往 前 行 ， 到 了 他 泊 的 橡 树 那 里 ， 必 遇 见 三 个 往 伯 特 利 去 拜 神 的 人 ， 一 个 带 着 三 只 山 羊 羔 ， 一 个 带 着 三 个 饼 ， 一 个 带 着 一 皮 袋 酒 。 [kjv] Then shalt thou go on forward from thence, and thou shalt come to the plain of Tabor, and there shall meet thee three men going up to God to Bethel, one carrying three kids, and another carrying three loaves of bread, and another carrying a bottle of wine: [bbe] Then you are to go on from there, and when you come to the oak-tree of Tabor, you will see three men going up to God to Beth-el, one having with him three young goats and another three cakes of bread and another a skin full of wine: 10:4 [hgb] 他 们 必 问 你 安 ， 给 你 两 个 饼 ， 你 就 从 他 们 手 中 接 过 来 。 [kjv] And they will salute thee, and give thee two loaves of bread; which thou shalt receive of their hands. [bbe] They will say, Peace be with you, and will give you two cakes of bread, which you are to take from them. 10:5 [hgb] 此 后 你 到 神 的 山 ， 在 那 里 有 非 利 士 人 的 防 兵 。 你 到 了 城 的 时 候 ， 必 遇 见 一 班 先 知 从 丘 坛 下 来 ， 前 面 有 鼓 瑟 的 ， 击 鼓 的 ， 吹 笛 的 ， 弹 琴 的 ， 他 们 都 受 感 说 话 。 [kjv] After that thou shalt come to the hill of God, where is the garrison of the Philistines: and it shall come to pass, when thou art come thither to the city, that thou shalt meet a company of prophets coming down from the high place with a psaltery, and a tabret, and a pipe, and a harp, before them; and they shall prophesy: [bbe] After that you will come to Gibeah, the hill of God, where an armed force of the Philistines is stationed: and when you come to the town, you will see a band of prophets coming down from the high place with instruments of music before them; and they will be acting like prophets: 10:6 [hgb] 耶 和 华 的 灵 必 大 大 感 动 你 ， 你 就 与 他 们 一 同 受 感 说 话 。 你 要 变 为 新 人 。 [kjv] And the Spirit of the LORD will come upon thee, and thou shalt prophesy with them, and shalt be turned into another man. [bbe] And the spirit of the Lord will come on you with power, and you will be acting like a prophet with them, and will be changed into another man. 10:7 [hgb] 这 兆 头 临 到 你 ， 你 就 可 以 趁 时 而 作 ， 因 为 神 与 你 同 在 。 [kjv] And let it be, when these signs are come unto thee, that thou do as occasion serve thee; for God is with thee. [bbe] And when these signs come to you, see that you take the chance which is offered you; for God is with you. 10:8 [hgb] 你 当 在 我 以 先 下 到 吉 甲 ， 我 也 必 下 到 那 里 献 燔 祭 和 平 安 祭 。 你 要 等 候 七 日 ， 等 我 到 了 那 里 ， 指 示 你 当 行 的 事 。 [kjv] And thou shalt go down before me to Gilgal; and, behold, I will come down unto thee, to offer burnt offerings, and to sacrifice sacrifices of peace offerings: seven days shalt thou tarry, till I come to thee, and shew thee what thou shalt do. [bbe] Then you are to go down before me to Gilgal, where I will come to you, for the offering of burned offerings and peace-offerings: go on waiting there for seven days till I come to you and make clear to you what you have to do. 10:9 [hgb] 扫 罗 转 身 离 别 撒 母 耳 ， 神 就 赐 他 一 个 新 心 。 当 日 这 一 切 兆 头 都 应 验 了 。 [kjv] And it was so, that when he had turned his back to go from Samuel, God gave him another heart: and all those signs came to pass that day. [bbe] And it came about, that when he went away from Samuel, God gave him a changed heart: and all those signs took place that day. 10:10 [hgb] 扫 罗 到 了 那 山 ， 有 一 班 先 知 遇 见 他 ， 神 的 灵 大 大 感 动 他 ， 他 就 在 先 知 中 受 感 说 话 。 [kjv] And when they came thither to the hill, behold, a company of prophets met him; and the Spirit of God came upon him, and he prophesied among them. [bbe] And when they came to Gibeah, a band of prophets came face to face with him; and the spirit of God came on him with power and he took his place among them as a prophet. 10:11 [hgb] 素 来 认 识 扫 罗 的 ， 看 见 他 和 先 知 一 同 受 感 说 话 ， 就 彼 此 说 ， 基 士 的 儿 子 遇 见 什 么 了 。 扫 罗 也 列 在 先 知 中 吗 ？ [kjv] And it came to pass, when all that knew him beforetime saw that, behold, he prophesied among the prophets, then the people said one to another, What is this that is come unto the son of Kish? Is Saul also among the prophets? [bbe] Now when Saul's old friends saw him among the band of prophets, the people said to one another, What has come to Saul, the son of Kish? Is even Saul among the prophets? 10:12 [hgb] 那 地 方 有 一 个 人 说 ， 这 些 人 的 父 亲 是 谁 呢 ？ 此 后 有 句 俗 语 说 ， 扫 罗 也 列 在 先 知 中 吗 ？ [kjv] And one of the same place answered and said, But who is their father? Therefore it became a proverb, Is Saul also among the prophets? [bbe] And one of the people of that place said in answer, And who is their father? So it became a common saying, Is even Saul among the prophets? 10:13 [hgb] 扫 罗 受 感 说 话 已 毕 ， 就 上 丘 坛 去 了 。 [kjv] And when he had made an end of prophesying, he came to the high place. [bbe] Then going away from the prophets, he came to the house. 10:14 [hgb] 扫 罗 的 叔 叔 问 扫 罗 和 他 仆 人 说 ， 你 们 往 哪 里 去 了 。 回 答 说 ， 找 驴 去 了 。 我 们 见 没 有 驴 ， 就 到 了 撒 母 耳 那 里 。 [kjv] And Saul's uncle said unto him and to his servant, Whither went ye? And he said, To seek the asses: and when we saw that they were no where, we came to Samuel. [bbe] And Saul's father's brother said to him and his servant, Where have you been? And he said, Searching for the asses: and when we saw no sign of them, we came to Samuel. 10:15 [hgb] 扫 罗 的 叔 叔 说 ， 请 将 撒 母 耳 向 你 们 所 说 的 话 告 诉 我 。 [kjv] And Saul's uncle said, Tell me, I pray thee, what Samuel said unto you. [bbe] Then he said, And what did Samuel say to you? 10:16 [hgb] 扫 罗 对 他 叔 叔 说 ， 他 明 明 地 告 诉 我 们 驴 已 经 找 着 了 。 至 于 撒 母 耳 所 说 的 国 事 ， 扫 罗 却 没 有 告 诉 叔 叔 。 [kjv] And Saul said unto his uncle, He told us plainly that the asses were found. But of the matter of the kingdom, whereof Samuel spake, he told him not. [bbe] And Saul, answering him, said, He gave us word that the asses had come back. But he said nothing to him of Samuel's words about the kingdom. 10:17 [hgb] 撒 母 耳 将 百 姓 招 聚 到 米 斯 巴 耶 和 华 那 里 ， [kjv] And Samuel called the people together unto the LORD to Mizpeh; [bbe] Then Samuel sent for the people to come together before the Lord at Mizpah; 10:18 [hgb] 对 他 们 说 ， 耶 和 华 以 色 列 的 神 如 此 说 ， 我 领 你 们 以 色 列 人 出 埃 及 ， 救 你 们 脱 离 埃 及 人 的 手 ， 又 救 你 们 脱 离 欺 压 你 们 各 国 之 人 的 手 。 [kjv] And said unto the children of Israel, Thus saith the LORD God of Israel, I brought up Israel out of Egypt, and delivered you out of the hand of the Egyptians, and out of the hand of all kingdoms, and of them that oppressed you: [bbe] And he said to the children of Israel, The Lord, the God of Israel, has said, I took Israel out of Egypt, and made you free from the hands of the Egyptians and from all the kingdoms which kept you down: 10:19 [hgb] 你 们 今 日 却 厌 弃 了 救 你 们 脱 离 一 切 灾 难 的 神 ， 说 ， 求 你 立 一 个 王 治 理 我 们 。 现 在 你 们 应 当 按 着 支 派 ， 宗 族 都 站 在 耶 和 华 面 前 。 [kjv] And ye have this day rejected your God, who himself saved you out of all your adversities and your tribulations; and ye have said unto him, Nay, but set a king over us. Now therefore present yourselves before the LORD by your tribes, and by your thousands. [bbe] But today you are turned away from your God, who himself has been your saviour from all your troubles and sorrows; and you have said to him, Put a king over us. So now, take your places before the Lord by your tribes and by your thousands. 10:20 [hgb] 于 是 ， 撒 母 耳 使 以 色 列 众 支 派 近 前 来 掣 签 ， 就 掣 出 便 雅 悯 支 派 来 。 [kjv] And when Samuel had caused all the tribes of Israel to come near, the tribe of Benjamin was taken. [bbe] So Samuel made all the tribes of Israel come near, and the tribe of Benjamin was taken. 10:21 [hgb] 又 使 便 雅 悯 支 派 按 着 宗 族 近 前 来 ， 就 掣 出 玛 特 利 族 ， 从 其 中 又 掣 出 基 士 的 儿 子 扫 罗 。 众 人 寻 找 他 却 寻 不 着 ， [kjv] When he had caused the tribe of Benjamin to come near by their families, the family of Matri was taken, and Saul the son of Kish was taken: and when they sought him, he could not be found. [bbe] Then he made the tribe of Benjamin come near by families, and the family of the Matrites was taken: and from them, Saul, the son of Kish, was taken: but when they went in search of him he was nowhere to be seen. 10:22 [hgb] 就 问 耶 和 华 说 ， 那 人 到 这 里 来 了 没 有 。 耶 和 华 说 ， 他 藏 在 器 具 中 了 。 [kjv] Therefore they enquired of the LORD further, if the man should yet come thither. And the LORD answered, Behold, he hath hid himself among the stuff. [bbe] So they put another question to the Lord, Is the man present here? And the answer of the Lord was, He is keeping himself from view among the goods. 10:23 [hgb] 众 人 就 跑 去 从 那 里 领 出 他 来 。 他 站 在 百 姓 中 间 ， 身 体 比 众 民 高 过 一 头 。 [kjv] And they ran and fetched him thence: and when he stood among the people, he was higher than any of the people from his shoulders and upward. [bbe] So they went quickly and made him come out; and when he took his place among the people, he was taller by a head than any of the people. 10:24 [hgb] 撒 母 耳 对 众 民 说 ， 你 们 看 耶 和 华 所 拣 选 的 人 ， 众 民 中 有 可 比 他 的 吗 ？ 众 民 就 大 声 欢 呼 说 ， 愿 王 万 岁 。 [kjv] And Samuel said to all the people, See ye him whom the LORD hath chosen, that there is none like him among all the people? And all the people shouted, and said, God save the king. [bbe] And Samuel said to all the people, Do you see the man of the Lord's selection, how there is no other like him among all the people? And all the people with loud cries said, Long life to the king! 10:25 [hgb] 撒 母 耳 将 国 法 对 百 姓 说 明 ， 又 记 在 书 上 ， 放 在 耶 和 华 面 前 ， 然 后 遣 散 众 民 ， 各 回 各 家 去 了 。 [kjv] Then Samuel told the people the manner of the kingdom, and wrote it in a book, and laid it up before the LORD. And Samuel sent all the people away, every man to his house. [bbe] Then Samuel gave the people the laws of the kingdom, writing them in a book which he put in a safe place before the Lord. And Samuel sent all the people away, every man to his house. 10:26 [hgb] 扫 罗 往 基 比 亚 回 家 去 ， 有 神 感 动 的 一 群 人 跟 随 他 。 [kjv] And Saul also went home to Gibeah; and there went with him a band of men, whose hearts God had touched. [bbe] And Saul went to Gibeah, to his house; and with him went the men of war whose hearts had been touched by God. 10:27 [hgb] 但 有 些 匪 徒 说 ， 这 人 怎 能 救 我 们 呢 ？ 就 藐 视 他 ， 没 有 送 他 礼 物 。 扫 罗 却 不 理 会 。 [kjv] But the children of Belial said, How shall this man save us? And they despised him, and brought him no presents. But he held his peace. [bbe] But certain good-for-nothing persons said, How is this man to be our saviour? And having no respect for him, they gave him no offering.
Chapter 11
11:1 [hgb] 亚 扪 人 的 王 拿 辖 上 来 ， 对 着 基 列 雅 比 安 营 。 雅 比 众 人 对 拿 辖 说 ， 你 与 我 们 立 约 ， 我 们 就 服 事 你 。 [kjv] Then Nahash the Ammonite came up, and encamped against Jabeshgilead: and all the men of Jabesh said unto Nahash, Make a covenant with us, and we will serve thee. [bbe] Then about a month after this, Nahash the Ammonite came up and put his forces in position for attacking Jabesh-gilead: and all the men of Jabesh said to Nahash, Make an agreement with us and we will be your servants. 11:2 [hgb] 亚 扪 人 拿 辖 说 ， 你 们 若 由 我 剜 出 你 们 各 人 的 右 眼 ， 以 此 凌 辱 以 色 列 众 人 ， 我 就 与 你 们 立 约 。 [kjv] And Nahash the Ammonite answered them, On this condition will I make a covenant with you, that I may thrust out all your right eyes, and lay it for a reproach upon all Israel. [bbe] And Nahash the Ammonite said to them, I will make an agreement with you on this condition, that all your right eyes are put out; so that I may make it a cause of shame to all Israel. 11:3 [hgb] 雅 比 的 长 老 对 他 说 ， 求 你 宽 容 我 们 七 日 ， 等 我 们 打 发 人 往 以 色 列 的 全 境 去 。 若 没 有 人 救 我 们 ， 我 们 就 出 来 归 顺 你 。 [kjv] And the elders of Jabesh said unto him, Give us seven days' respite, that we may send messengers unto all the coasts of Israel: and then, if there be no man to save us, we will come out to thee. [bbe] Then the responsible men of Jabesh said to him, Give us seven days, so that we may send men to every part of Israel: and then, if no one comes to our help, we will come out to you. 11:4 [hgb] 使 者 到 了 扫 罗 住 的 基 比 亚 ， 将 这 话 说 给 百 姓 听 ， 百 姓 就 都 放 声 而 哭 。 [kjv] Then came the messengers to Gibeah of Saul, and told the tidings in the ears of the people: and all the people lifted up their voices, and wept. [bbe] So they sent representatives to Saul's town Gibeah, and these gave the news to the people: and all the people gave themselves to weeping. 11:5 [hgb] 扫 罗 正 从 田 间 赶 牛 回 来 ， 问 说 ， 百 姓 为 什 么 哭 呢 ？ 众 人 将 雅 比 人 的 话 告 诉 他 。 [kjv] And, behold, Saul came after the herd out of the field; and Saul said, What aileth the people that they weep? And they told him the tidings of the men of Jabesh. [bbe] Now Saul came from the field, driving the oxen before him; and he said, Why are the people weeping? And they gave him word of what the men of Jabesh had said. 11:6 [hgb] 扫 罗 听 见 这 话 ， 就 被 神 的 灵 大 大 感 动 ， 甚 是 发 怒 。 [kjv] And the Spirit of God came upon Saul when he heard those tidings, and his anger was kindled greatly. [bbe] And at their words, the spirit of God came on Saul with power, and he became very angry. 11:7 [hgb] 他 将 一 对 牛 切 成 块 子 ， 托 付 使 者 传 送 以 色 列 的 全 境 ， 说 ， 凡 不 出 来 跟 随 扫 罗 和 撒 母 耳 的 ， 也 必 这 样 切 开 他 的 牛 。 于 是 耶 和 华 使 百 姓 惧 怕 ， 他 们 就 都 出 来 ， 如 同 一 人 。 [kjv] And he took a yoke of oxen, and hewed them in pieces, and sent them throughout all the coasts of Israel by the hands of messengers, saying, Whosoever cometh not forth after Saul and after Samuel, so shall it be done unto his oxen. And the fear of the LORD fell on the people, and they came out with one consent. [bbe] And he took two oxen and, cutting them up, sent them through all the land of Israel by the hand of runners, saying, If any man does not come out after Saul and Samuel, this will be done to his oxen. And the fear of the Lord came on the people and they came out like one man. 11:8 [hgb] 扫 罗 在 比 色 数 点 他 们 ， 以 色 列 人 有 三 十 万 ， 犹 大 人 有 三 万 。 [kjv] And when he numbered them in Bezek, the children of Israel were three hundred thousand, and the men of Judah thirty thousand. [bbe] And he had them numbered in Bezek: the children of Israel were three hundred thousand, and the men of Judah thirty thousand. 11:9 [hgb] 众 人 对 那 使 者 说 ， 你 们 要 回 覆 基 列 雅 比 人 说 ， 明 日 太 阳 近 午 的 时 候 ， 你 们 必 得 解 救 。 使 者 回 去 告 诉 雅 比 人 ， 他 们 就 欢 喜 了 。 [kjv] And they said unto the messengers that came, Thus shall ye say unto the men of Jabeshgilead, To morrow, by that time the sun be hot, ye shall have help. And the messengers came and shewed it to the men of Jabesh; and they were glad. [bbe] Then he said to the representatives who had come, Say to the men of Jabesh-gilead, Tomorrow, by the time the sun is high, you will be made safe. And the representatives came and gave the news to the men of Jabesh; and they were glad. 11:10 [hgb] 于 是 雅 比 人 对 亚 扪 人 说 ， 明 日 我 们 出 来 归 顺 你 们 ， 你 们 可 以 随 意 待 我 们 。 [kjv] Therefore the men of Jabesh said, To morrow we will come out unto you, and ye shall do with us all that seemeth good unto you. [bbe] So the men of Jabesh said, Tomorrow we will come out to you, and you may do to us whatever seems good to you. 11:11 [hgb] 第 二 日 ， 扫 罗 将 百 姓 分 为 三 队 ， 在 晨 更 的 时 候 入 了 亚 扪 人 的 营 ， 击 杀 他 们 直 到 太 阳 近 午 ， 剩 下 的 人 都 逃 散 ， 没 有 二 人 同 在 一 处 的 。 [kjv] And it was so on the morrow, that Saul put the people in three companies; and they came into the midst of the host in the morning watch, and slew the Ammonites until the heat of the day: and it came to pass, that they which remained were scattered, so that two of them were not left together. [bbe] Now on the day after, Saul put the people into three bands, and in the morning watch they came to the tents of the Ammonites, and they went on attacking them till the heat of the day: and those who were not put to death were put to flight in every direction, so that no two of them were together. 11:12 [hgb] 百 姓 对 撒 母 耳 说 ， 那 说 扫 罗 岂 能 管 理 我 们 的 是 谁 呢 ？ 可 以 将 他 交 出 来 ， 我 们 好 杀 死 他 。 [kjv] And the people said unto Samuel, Who is he that said, Shall Saul reign over us? bring the men, that we may put them to death. [bbe] And the people said to Samuel, Who was it who said, Is Saul to be our king? give the men up, so that we may put them to death. 11:13 [hgb] 扫 罗 说 ， 今 日 耶 和 华 在 以 色 列 中 施 行 拯 救 ， 所 以 不 可 杀 人 。 [kjv] And Saul said, There shall not a man be put to death this day: for to day the LORD hath wrought salvation in Israel. [bbe] And Saul said, Not a man is to be put to death today: for today the Lord has made Israel safe. 11:14 [hgb] 撒 母 耳 对 百 姓 说 ， 我 们 要 往 吉 甲 去 ， 在 那 里 立 国 。 [kjv] Then said Samuel to the people, Come, and let us go to Gilgal, and renew the kingdom there. [bbe] Then Samuel said to the people, Come, let us go to Gilgal and there make the kingdom strong in the hands of Saul. 11:15 [hgb] 众 百 姓 就 到 了 吉 甲 那 里 ， 在 耶 和 华 面 前 立 扫 罗 为 王 ， 又 在 耶 和 华 面 前 献 平 安 祭 。 扫 罗 和 以 色 列 众 人 大 大 欢 喜 。 [kjv] And all the people went to Gilgal; and there they made Saul king before the LORD in Gilgal; and there they sacrificed sacrifices of peace offerings before the LORD; and there Saul and all the men of Israel rejoiced greatly. [bbe] So all the people went to Gilgal; and there in Gilgal they made Saul king before the Lord; and peace-offerings were offered before the Lord; and there Saul and all the men of Israel were glad with great joy.
